Meta verification in 2026: what changes for your ad account

In 2026 Meta wants every ad account to demonstrably belong to a real business. Those who get a verification request and don’t complete it in time get restricted. What it is, what you need, and what we do about it.

Business verification first applied only to certain categories and to large advertisers. In 2026 Meta keeps extending it: every ad account must demonstrably belong to a real business or a real person, and the request comes more often and earlier. If you don’t complete it within the period Meta states, the account gets restricted or disabled.

What you usually need: a recent company register extract, a document with your company address, and an email address or domain that belongs to your company. Meta compares the name on the extract with the name of your business account; if they differ, it gets rejected.

The request appears in Business Manager, with the deadline next to it. Review takes a few working days to a couple of weeks, longer in busy periods and in sensitive categories. So don’t start on the last day.

What we do: with an account through AdKit the verification is in your own company’s name, and we go through the documents with you before you submit them. If Meta still rejects them, you see it in the portal and Nina or a colleague helps you through.

  • Request a fresh register extract today
  • Make the name of your business account identical to the name on the extract
  • Use an email address on your own domain, not a free one
  • Submit as soon as Meta asks, not at the end of the period
